The energy efficiency labeling system is an obligation notification system that enables consumers to easily purchase energy-efficient products with high efficiency and to produce and sell energy-saving products from domestic manufacturers and importers of imported products.
Manufacturers and importers of items subject to the energy consumption efficiency rating labeling system must notify the Korea Energy Corporation within 90 days after testing the products according to the notified measurement method. Information on the reported product is disclosed through the website, and in the case of non-defendants, it may be subject to a fine of up to KRW 5 million under the Energy Use Rationalization Act.
